CostaLands

Regenerative Care

Caring for a property also means caring for its surroundings.

CostaLands seeks to ensure that its operation maintains a more conscious relationship with the territory, communities, and resources that make each property possible.

Our approach begins with concrete actions within daily operations and a long-term view of how we inhabit the Nicoya Peninsula.

Our Approach

Beyond maintaining. We can also regenerate.

Regenerative development seeks to restore, renew, and strengthen the ecological, social, and economic systems that form part of a territory.

For CostaLands, this means looking at how each property can relate more responsibly to its surroundings and how small operational decisions can contribute to a positive impact over time.

It is not only about reducing impact.

It is about learning to operate better within the place we inhabit.

Concrete Practices in Operation

How regenerative principles translate into everyday property care and local collaboration.

01

Local Work

The community is part of the operation.

CostaLands seeks to work with local labor, strengthening relationships with people who know the territory and belong to the communities where we work.

This proximity also allows us to build teams with deeper knowledge of the place and a more direct relationship with each property.

02

Recycling & Composting

Better management of resources.

Where operations allow, CostaLands promotes the separation of recyclable materials and the use of organic waste through composting.

The resulting material can be reused in gardens and nurseries, returning part of the waste to the property's natural cycle.

03

Education

Sharing better practices is part of the change.

One of our goals is to introduce owners and guests to practices that can strengthen a more conscious relationship with the territory.

Through communication and the everyday experience of each property, we seek to share principles and actions connected to regenerative development and care for the surroundings.

04

Give Back

Participation is also a form of care.

CostaLands supports initiatives led by local organizations and Integral Development Associations within the communities where it operates through participation and hands-on work.

These actions may include initiatives related to conservation, community wellbeing, and the protection of local species, including efforts connected to the protection of howler monkeys.

Our approach is to contribute through presence and direct participation in the territory.

A Long-Term Relationship

Properties are part of something larger.

Every property exists within a community, a landscape, and an ecosystem.

That is why our understanding of care does not end at the physical boundaries of a property.

We want CostaLands to grow while maintaining a close relationship with the territory that makes our work possible.

Caring for the place is part of building a lasting relationship with it.

Regeneration is an ongoing process. Our commitment is to keep learning, incorporating better practices, and strengthening our participation in the communities and ecosystems of the Nicoya Peninsula.
